Welcome Jane Hyne
We are pleased to announce the name of the new juror which replaces Peter Antony, who was unable for personal reasons to attend the voting.
Jane studied Book and Periodical Publishing at Napier University, Edinburgh.
She then pursued this field as a career in London in the world of Magazines but soon focused on book production with Thomas Nelson, where she was appointed as a Print Buyer and Estimator and then Publishing Co-ordinator.
She moved into the colourful world of Children’s Publications with HarperCollins in late-1993 where she dedicated her efforts to highly illustrated new Picture Books, working with many of the finest Children’s Authors and Illustrators of the day. In late-1995, she moved to Collins and Brown, later becoming Production Director. She joined the National Gallery Company as Production Manager in April 2001 where she is responsible for pre-press and production of all printed commercial materials ranging from Exhibition Catalogues to postcards and posters, as well as advising on all three-dimensional product ranges requiring the reproduction of a Gallery Image such as placemats, umbrellas and ceramics through to NGC-branded retail packaging. In addition to all this she now handles a fast-growing and successful Licensing Business line. She advises Clients how to achieve the best possible reproductions from licensed images.
